Find Ancestors

Wish to find the parents of Henry Elliot. I have details of his marriage in 1808 to Isabell Willam Huggan at Yetholm, Roxborghshire, and i believe Crailing. Her Parents were Andrew Huggan and Jane Scott.
Henry I believe was born about 1780

I believe I am descended from Joseph Elliot and Girssie Balmer. My ancestor Adam Elliot was the son of a Joseph and 'Gracie' b at Ridlees Alwinton in 1781. I have not been able to trace any further reference to Joseph and 'Gracie' until finding Joseph and Girssie as the parents of Henry In Morebattle. I believe Joseph to be buried at Hownam where there is a grave of a Joseph, described as a leal (loyal) hand at Ridlees, and who died aged 34 in 1784. This may explain why I cannot find more - I can't trace where Gracie went. I know there was a son William born at Ridlees in 1784. Adam and William were baptised at the Presbyterian church in Harbottle, Northumberland. Do you have any thoughts on this? Do you think there may be a link?
