All been there Gins!

I am really doubtful about that Harrington family, don't know about you. I posted another census for an Emely Wright in Hounslow but quickly removed it as age so far out (um, 10 years!!), but a shame as it looked so promising. Tried hard to make age 5 not 15 but no joy!

Lol Gins...no dont think doctors daughter would marry labourer and a doctor in my family?? lol i wouldnt of thought so

Looking through others family trees on ancestry some have Emily's middle name as Elizabeth also, however i can not see anything so far that confirms this?

Hang on - am going to put again.

Could the '1' in 15 be a line?? I am speculating that Mary (unmarried) might be her mother.

She does put Heston as birthplace on at least one census after marriage.

That does look promising, listed as grandaughter...

i currently cant find frederick or emily on the 1911 census to see if there are any extra family members on there, yet the death i believe to be correct for frederick isnt until 1920. Nightmare!!

Edit: I think it looks like a line rather than a 1 and a 5 but dont know if im just wishful thinking?

Who is this - do you think it's just co-incidental or maybe a rellie??? He is possibly the William on the census I put earlier, but the Emily on there has an incorrect birth year.

Im not sure who the William Wright is at present he is old enough to be a younger brother of Emily's, but not too sure whether it might be coincedence or a cousin or something (Only if that is Emily's brother it would mean another with his mum maiden name and therefore no father 14 years after Emily was born?)

Is this Emily' death

Not sure if it is a help, or just muddying the waters even more, but the above William along with his brothers Walter & George is in Brentford Union Workhouse in 1871.
I have a feeling in me waters about these people, but just can't quite pin them down! The Emily in the 1861 would be their cousin obviously.

Could this be Frederick on 1911 census transcribed as Clifton ?
On Familysearch it is transcribed as Chilton?

EDIT: that death for Emily looks possible too, and looking at the images of the 2 1911 census one says married for 46 years the other 47 years, one 11 children one 10 children, one 3 children died, one 2 children died ...i think they sound close enough and that either one of them lost count lol

Gee

Gee Report 23 Dec 2012 16:24

That census for Fred, ties in with the one I posted for Emily.

Posted that previously Gins - I know why you did, there's a lot here and difficult to sort out!
I proposed that the William G. on that census is the same person lodging with the family in 1881, and perhaps Emily's cousin?
As stated above, he and his brothers are orphaned by 1871 and living in Brentford Workhouse.
I think that 1861 is a strong contender, despite birth year for Emily.

I think that looks promising, i can see this is going to be a sad story with this family :(

EDIT: The Mary Ann Wright on there is a laundress which is what she was on the one we found earlier with Mary Ann Wright, Mary Wright and Emily Wright on?
Only thing is The poss mother we found for Emily on the other one was born abt 1818, and the Grandmother was born abt 1795.
This Mary Ann Wright is described as being born 1821 and aunt of Emily Wright?

Gee

I am easily confused Jan!

What about this for her birth? Im not good with reg districts for London

Im confusing myself...So despite the census earlier saying that Emily's mother Mary Wright was unmarried she may well have been married or at least taken fathers name and where i thought it was Mary's mother they were living with it might actually be his mother?
