HI, I'm trying to find the date and place of birth of ME Sainsbury. Her parents were Henry James Sainsbury & Dorothy Wood. I can't find any record on free bmd. |

Hi, definitely South of England, but I can't be specific about the county - thanks. |

Hi, that's the parents, although I'm not sure where the "Beresford" name comes from! |

Not at all sure I have the right couple! Wrong middle initial. |

Actually, the image for that birth is terrible - middle initial could be anything. |

Hi I thought she was Margaret Elizabeth, which matches with what I thought was her marriage record to William I Dixon, Sept 1942 in Bristol. Confusing! |

Interesting! Have left off a lot of other names. Looks like some kind of residential home for women?? |

Hi Brummie Jan, that's Dorothy and the children listed in 1911 are Margaret's siblings. I wonder why she added the Beresford. I think the 1918 entry most be Margaret Elizabeth, as you suggest it must be the quality of the transcription, I'll order a copy of the cert. I've also been trying to find her death - I think she was 62 when she died ie: 1980 and would be Margaret Dixon. |

You can see her mother has Beresford in her name also. I haven't been able to pin down the marriage for her parents - they had widely differing birthplaces, as did the children! |
