I'm helping a friend with his family tree and we found his great grandad - William Jones - on the 1881 census:

1881 Census [RG11;3491;97;12] living at Macclesfield Industrial School, Brook Street, Macclesfield
William Jones, aged 10, place of birth Not Known

1891 census - place of birth 'Not Known'
1901 Census - place of birth 'Mid Ocean'
1911 census - place of birth 'Preston, Lancs'

Does anyone know if there are any records from the Macclesfield Industrial School?
