Darren Colin Bell, 29, of Folds Road, Haydock, and Anthony Crook, 45, of Tickle Avenue, St Helens, were charged at St Helens magistrates court with wounding.

They were remanded in custody and will appear again on January 19.

There is a birth 1979 Liverpool who seems to be the right age for the chap in the first reports Ann posted.

Nor is he the pub doorman shot to death in Blackburn in 2001, he had a different middle name.

The Darren we are looking for is older, born 1967.

GRO will make a search of the indexes for a total of 3 years if you were to contact them.
There is a time lag between a death being registered and it appearing on their lists.

http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/

When you fill in the form, say that you don't know the gro ref, and give a start date of 01/01/yyyy. They will then search all of that year, the previous year, and the following one. Unfortunately, even if they do find a record, if the details you supply are not *exactly* the same as on the certificate, they won't issue it.

Does your son's Ex have any siblings you might be able to approach?

Since you are posting during the early hours of the morning, does this mean that you aren't in the UK? If you were, your MP might be able to help with Home Office or NHS access, even if the response was a general 'He's OK'.

Could you 'mail shot' all the solicitors in his last known area to see if any of them represented him and when?

Carol,
It is a very spiteful thing that has been done to you.

I wanted to say that you and your family are in my thoughts, I hope and pray for a happy outcome.

You could contact the Salvation Army. They do help reunite families and I'm sure they would be able to track your son as I think they have access to NI files and other records not in the public domain.

Good luck
