Hello, I am trying to start a tree for Carruthers family from Carlisle. Thomas Harold Carruthers b,1887 d. 1947, married Rebecca Hewer b 1889 d. 1975 Carlisle were my grand parents. Does this sound familiar? Thank you. |

I apologise to all for posting a duplicate request and thus creating two threads. This was not intentional but pure novice mistake. Thank you for information. |

I have only started really. I have requested to view some trees from others which might reveal more. I do not know how far I can realistically expect to go back. Thanks again. |

the first born of theirs I could find was born in 1800 so presuming Thomas was, say, 20, when he married that makes him born around 1780 - so I'd be looking around 1775 - 1780 for his birth, and around 1800 for his marriage |
