Can not look up records on this site so can not compare

So agree with MarieCeleste it is probably a transcription entry

It could have been mistranscribe and could be Son of and they have put S S as the original just reads Henry son of John and Sarah Kerley baptism.

MarieCeleste

MarieCeleste Report 6 Jan 2013 12:38

Looking at the original image of that baptism there is definitely no SS near John's name. Must be a transcription error.

Thank you for trying to help me Glitter Baby. The record i looked up on BP on this site definately said S.S. John Kerley. Perhaps S.S. was an error??

1724 or 1725 ?

Name: Henry Kerley
Event Type: Baptism
Event Date: 11 Mar 1724
Parish: Horton
Father's Name: John Kerley
Mother's Name: Sarah Kerley

Think it might be 1725

Hi I have found the baptism of Henry Kerley 11 March 1725 St.Wolfrida Horton Dorset. My query is his fathers name on it says S.S.John Kerley. Was wondering what S.S. is for?? Does it mean anything? Thank you
Anne
