I have found out that my Grandfather John Thomas Joyce married Bessie Keeling in oct, nov, dec 1938. He divorced and remarried my grandmother in 1947.

However, the first marriage had a child involved daughter Janet???

Can anyone help to source children please??

Thanks
Annette

I can find a son born in 1939 from the first marriage but not a daughter. Also a possible marriage for the son in 1960.

do you know his name??
My father was told he had a half/sister???
It all only came to light when my grandad died
in 1975.

The birth is a bit too late to post the details on there as the son may well still be living

If you use the link I posted and enter Joyce and Keeling as the mothers name and search for the year 1939, you will be able to check the name

Put in the father's surname and mother's maiden name and look for any births that come up in the area they lived and after the date of their marriage.

How do you get on electoral registers after 1960???

KathleenBell

KathleenBell Report 7 Jan 2013 10:43

Older electoral registers are usually kept at the nearest library to the address and are (or were) not available online. However they are only searchable by address and not by surname.

However it does seem that Andrew has access to them so perhaps some are now online.
