I have traced this line of the family back to a James Taylor C1797, watch finisher. Born possibly Middlesex, and married Elizabeth unknown. Father to Elizabeth 1818 and John 1821. John married Eliza Hunton. Nothing more known of Elizabeth the daughter.
James was possibly a base baby. I have been unable to find his marriage, but did stumble across a record for a James Taylor, father James Webb and mother Mary Taylor.
I am unable to cross reference this as I do not know his wife's name or any other details to link together.
There are no census records on BMD, and as the name is common, too many to track down on here.
Any help please to find out more about my 3xgreat grandfather.

I will add, and my bad, but I did attempt a search on James some time ago in an old thread, but nothing was found and there were no replies.
This was in reference to finding information about his son John, and h is grandson Charles, both of which I now have plenty of information about. ;-)
