Does anyone know where I can find where Christopher Robin Griffin was buried, he died 4 months old 23/3/1940 and we believed him to be buried in Corsham Wilts but after contact the Churches in that area there is no record to say this was true, no living relatives to tell us either. |

Isn't there a municipal cemetery in the area? |

I did email the local cemetery and the Churches in the area but all have come back negative. Does any paperwork or records exist to say where people are buried , that I can contact to find info, I understood there was a inquest and death was due to cot death |

Corsham Town Council manages and maintains Ladbrook Lane Cemetery as a peaceful and attractive resting place to serve the residents of Corsham..The Cemetery is situated along Ladbrook Lane which is between Lacock Road and Gastard. It was laid out in the 1960’s after the adjoining Cemetery was closed for new graves.. |

Do you know where either or both of his parents might have been buried? Consider the possibility that they purchased the rights to a grave somewhere and that many years later they were laid to rest in that place? The Will of one of the parents may give a clue? |

Both parents are buried with other son who was killed in accident at Chippenham Cemetary as we understand it my mother in law did not go to funeral only father in law and aunty went. from asking an aunt years ago before she died we were told he was buried in Corsham but it may have been the funeral was Corsham as his parents were married there but the Church was converted to printing works then we believe a cafe/bar. On occasions we have been up to Corsham we have looked round grave yards to no avail which matches up with info from contacting Churches. |

Again, it sounds like it could be a job for the Bereavement Services office attached to that particular council in Corsham. Provide them with full details of the deceased and most likely they will carry out a free search for you. It could be the case of an interment or a cremation, as stated before. |

Does anyone have any suggestions where I can go from here as the mystery deepens. The Corsham and Chippenham churches and cemetarys all came up with no buriel of Christopher. I contacted as advised to try the archives@ wiltshire who today have said no buriel record and no inquest report there. I know he existed we have birth certificate and I know there was an inquest. :-( |

If there was an inquest, would there also have been a post mortem. The hospital must have records of who collected Christopher for burial... |
