Find Ancestors

Heeeeeelp!!
I have been trying, with no success at all, to find some details ,however small about Francis Roman. I know he had a son, Andrew Martin Roman,born in 1855 in Brooklyn New York USA. And that's it. Andrew came to England around 1890.And I have some info forwards from there.But going back is the headache.If anyone has any ideas,or if i am missing a trick or two.Let me know.It's getting rather frustrating now.I may have to choose another past time.

'Typical' father who cannot remember birth date??

Also, there is a Byron with father Andrew - related? No time to look further.

I think Andrew Martin Roman needs lot of tidying up before we can try to find Francis (that' s if he is the right father - there was more than one Andrew Roman).

Steve's tree on Ancestry has a son Joseph born June 1883 USA to Annie Monk who was born 1869. Andrew apparently married 1889 in NY but if that 1880 census is right he was already married then.

Would like to sort this out but some family story from Steve would help.
