1861 Census look up please..........

I am looking to find Jane Nash born in Dymock, Glos in 1843.

Jane had her son William, George Nash, when she was 18yrs old ( unmarried)?
Christening: William, George, Nash 20 OCT 1861 Dymock, Gloucester, England - so its possible that she 'went away' to have her baby - or that she was staying with other relatives - she is not with her parents & siblings in the 1861 census:

NB: William Lavory in 1861 census living with James and Ann is actually William Savory/Savoury, and he married Jane Nash 2 yrs later in 1863.

Not having any luck... so far.

If William was born in Glous. in 1861 then his mum must have been there too but I can't find her on the 1861 census under Nash or Savory.

If this is his birth he was born after the census was taken. Jane would only have been about 2 months pregnant when the census was taken on 7th April.

I wonder if this is her but put down as born in Pembroke ?

And could one of the lodgers have been the father???????

I dont believe that to be correct - Jane ( and her parents & siblings ) are from Dymock in Glos. ( not Pembroke )
In the 1861 Census her future husband William Savoury was living with the family.

3 of her siblings are not in the 1961 census either - I have found one of them - Charles aged 13 as a Carter Boy Servent - nearby at Gammage Hall. -
also 'missing ' are Anna & Harriet....where are they? - maybe they are with Jane somewhere?

there is a family connection with Ledbury in Herefordshire ( not far from Dymock ) - so it is possible that Jane is working in service in Glos or Herefordshire ?

It was only a thought as the name was right and year of birth and she was the right age to have left home and worked and the people who she was employed by may not have known where she was born and just had entered Pembroke the same as them.

I have to go out now, sorry..... may look later.

Other people on Ancestry have Jane in their trees but nobody has her on the 1861 census. Perhaps she was travelling and jus tmissed it or perhaps that census for where she was is missing. I know some of the census's are missing.

Durham – Brancepeth (hamlet Hedley Hope missing).
Kent – Goodnestone (reported missing 2002), Wateringbury (part missing, including hamlet Lily Hoe).
Middlesex (including London) – all these parishes are part-missing: Inner Temple, St Bride, St Dunstan-in-the-West (hamlets Cliffords Inn and Serjeants Inn, Chancery Lane are missing), St Gregory by St Paul, St Mary Staining, St Michael-le Quern.
Norfolk – Great Yarmouth (Cobham Island).
Northumberland – Newburn (part missing – hamlets of Black Callerton, Butterlaw, East and West Whorlton, Newbiggin, East Denton, West Denton, Newburn-Hall and Sugley are all missing).
Yorkshire – Marske (mostly missing, including hamlets Redcar and Marske).



Jane Nash who is listed above in Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, Wales, seems to appear in the 1851 census, with mother Martha, so it looks like a different 'Jane'

I wonder if it is possible to find her siblings in 1861 at all please? They may have been in service somewhere? Their brother Charles was nearby to Dymock so I doubt that they went far.........

Anna Nash born Dymock, Glos 1854 - aprox 15/16 in 1861
Harriet Nash born Dymock, Glos 1845 - so only 6/7 yrs old in 1861.(?)

I have looked but cant see a death for Harriet or Anna - so assume that they are somewhere in the 1861 census - could someone kindly take a look for them please?
