I was wondering how I can find out more information on the death of my g-grandfather James Sansom. He was serving aboard H.M.S Orion and he was killed by persons unknown. His record has D.D. on it which I have been told means discharged dead. His family ended up in the workhouse. Would there be more information on his death anywhere? Grateful for any help.
Is there anywhere to view the ships log?

Not sure if this is you that posted this, but there seems to be two people asking the same question on this site.
