Find Ancestors

I am trying to find information on my late grandfather I have looked on the 1911 census and various sites with no luck, i do not have an exact birthdate for him. :-)

There are several possibilities but we must have some more info on him please!¬

Tell us all you know about him - parents, siblings, when and where born (approximate will do).

Did he marry, have children etc.

We do not even know what country we are supposed to be looking in !

When did he die? You must know that...............

From checking back the OP's father I think is Robert Haywood born 1921 Camberwell MMN Collett.

This is the only death for the exact name

Percy Hayhow abt 1872 Apr-May-Jun 1933 Lambeth Greater London

But until mumsy favours us with some feedback, we're guessing

From 1920 until 1932, a Percy Hayhow was living at 38, Foreign Street, with a woman recorded as being called Maud Hayhow

Thanks as I said before I never met him and my dad never really mentioned him. they did live in Foreign Street and my Nans name was Maud, Dad was there only child and his name was Robert, when Percy died Nan married twice again
his name was Gandar no more children and then Major John Martin, Major being his first name, he was my Mothers father as my Mum and Dad were married first ther marriage was perfectly legal, I know i used to have to explain my dad and mum were Stepbrother and Stepsister. There seems to be a lot of Essex Hayhow which i will look into :-D

My dads name was Robert Albert Hayhow he was born 21.1.1915 died in September 2001, Grandad Percy was born in England but i dont know where he did work on the trams as they were called then we are originally from south london,my nan whose maiden name was Collett came from Bermondsey and she was a seamstress but poor old Percy was never mentioned, i would like to know if he had brothers or sisters as my dad seemed to think he had a brother or brothers.
