I apologise for any confusion I may have caused, but to be quite honest I got totally baffled by it and it became apparent that it was the next generation of thomas samuel that we needed (ie 1890 and not the 1869 one).

Andrew, that birth for Esther that you have posted, I think she is the Esther (see other thread) that is still living!

The one we're researching was born around 1890. And, of course, pre-1912 doesn't give mother's maiden name, which makes it all the more confusing.

I need to go through all this later on after work.

Have you looked yourself on freebmd?

If he was 21 in 1911, he wasn't born in 1869!

Why did they all have to carry the same names on! Its so confusing.

we also have a 27 St Helena Road on our data so its got to be the right people we've got here.
