I apologise for any confusion I may have caused, but to be quite honest I got totally baffled by it and it became apparent that it was the next generation of thomas samuel that we needed (ie 1890 and not the 1869 one). |

The one we're researching was born around 1890. And, of course, pre-1912 doesn't give mother's maiden name, which makes it all the more confusing. |
