On the image of the baptism says that they lived at 5 Barton Street and Thomas was a corporal in the 10th Hussars. Have you manged to find an army record for him? |

I found Elizabeths baptism on 'Find My Past' in the Parish Records Collection. The baptism was on 6 Nov 1831 at St John the Evangelist, Smith Square, Middlesex. Yes that is the Blatch family, and because Henry Blatch's mother was a Wild, it seems that would be where the name came from. So l really want to know what Elizabeth senior's maiden name was. |

Based on the Blatch tree Thomas is listed as dying in Croyden so this could possibly be him in 1861 - listed as a widower and carpenter - |

At last I have found a baptism for Elizabeth Wild Batchelor, which tells me her parents were Thomas and Elizabeth. But I can not find a marriage, or deaths for them. Elizabeth was born in Oct 1831, but in the 1841 census, was living with her uncle Henry Blatch and his wife Sarah nee Batchelor. In 1849, the Blatch family and Elizabeth sailed out to New Zealand on the John Wickliffe, and Elizabeth married and in 1862, died of TB in Dunedin, New Zealand. I want to find what happened to her parents? Did Elizabeth sen die early? Would really appreciate any help. |
