James, this could be a red herring.

The two Kennedy births from Familysearch with mother Jane Dickey were in Antrim. I have stumbled across this.

Ireland 1841 / 1851 Census Abstracts.

Name: Jane Dickey
Relationship: Daughter
Age: 9
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1842
Census Location: Antrim
Census Year: 1851
Household Members: Name Age
Joseph Dickey 40
Mary Dickey 30
Rose Dickey 17
Margaret Dickey 13
Natheniel Dickey 12
Mary Dickey 11
Jane Dickey 9
Sally Dickey 8
Martha Dickey 4

Would value Eringobragh1916's thoughts on the Kennedy family as Ireland is one of her areas of expertise.

rootgatherer,

I followed your advice and checked a couple of the Kennedy children on Scotlands People and for Francis Kennedy the parents are shown as a Bernard Kennedy and a Jane Dickie married on 11/06/1868 in Dalry.

I decided to double check so I checked out Agnes, for Agnes Kennedy the parents are shown as a Bernard Kennedy and a Jane Marron married on 08/06/1868 in Dalry.

I then checked for a marriage for Bernard in 1968, nothing under statutory marriages, the only marriage I could find was this one under Catholic Marriages and as it is a church record there is not a lot of information shown :-

08/06/1868 KENNEDY BERNARD MARRON JANE DALRY, ST PALLADIUS

St Palladius being the R C Church in Dalry

I will check Scotlands people for a death of a Jane Dickey

James :-S

rootgatherer,

That is excellent, thank you for that, I will have a look in Scotlands People at the children to try and establish Jane's maiden name and the date and place of the marriage.

Best Wishes,

James

Thanks for that Eringobragh1916,

Another pair of eyes is desperately needed here, three years ago they promised me an operation to remove the cataracts in both my eyes, then the cuts came in and unfortunately those needing cataracts seen to were one of the many losers.

I suppose that is what our government means when they say the NHS is safe in their hands :-(

Anyway, I have checked and I have a Helen Clusker, daughter of James Clusker and Mary McDade, born 23 June 1893 in Fauldhouse, West Lothian, on the 1901 Census for Scotland she is shown as Ellen.

James...I have spent some time looking for and at the Cummings /Clusker conncetion..it has proved a nightmare to say the least ..gets more complicated as it goes on...best have another pair of eyes here.!!

Alex Cummings married Ellen M..? Clusker in Illinois sometime prior to birth of their ? first child Mary in 1915...

Ellen M shows her immigration year as 1907..well cant find her under Clusker/variables..have tried years earlier and following 1907.

Alex. Cummings....You are going to get confused with this one...!!

Alex (17) travelled out with his Mother isabelle bro.Malcolm and his "Step father" James Burrows on the Mauretania arriving NY 22 Aug 1908.
Going to brother Wm J Cummings ?102/103 North Walnut Springfield Sangamon Illinois.

His mother travelled under "Burrows"....

NOK in Scotland down as Alred Burrows 167 Buchanan St. Coatbridge.

Checked out family in Springfield and they are all there (1930)...dont get confused with J.William Cummings and William J.Cummings..!!!

Malcom Cummings was b Old Monkland.

Eringobragh1916,

I do have the youngest son of James Clusker and Mary McDade as a
John Clusker born 1895 in Fauldhouse, West Lothian, the basic SP search I did only has him as John.

The image of his birth certificate may show more but that will have to wait as I have well exceeded my budget on SP for this month. It will be a fairly accurate assumption that the P stands for Peter as the use of that as a middle name was quite common in the Clusker family.

Morning James....

The info.that mgnv has supplied for you is all relative to the Cluckers.ag James and Mary ...

John P Clusker is the younger son of James and Mary.
The John Kennedy if you recall is the one who stated he was going to his "Aunt" Mary Clusker...his nok in Scotland was his mother Jane Kennedy in Motherwell....now he could be connected through the McDade side or the Clusker's...it may be easier at this time to check the Motherwell connection...

I didnt see a Dominick Clusker along the way....what happened to him.??

OneFootInTheGrave Report 20 Jan 2013 08:28

Morning mgnv,

Wow, thank you for that, I will try and work my way through that over the course of today as I am curios to find out if the Kennedy's and Cumming's are connected in any way to my family, .

I did find this link interesting as I have a child named Dominick in my tree and he is a Dominick Clusker the son of James Clusker married to a Mary McDade, coincidence the use of the name Dominick along with Dominick M. Dade.

Thanks Again for this,

Gins I have no idea but the Patrick and Susan (McClare) Kells Co Meath had children as late as 1877....none of the names of James Clusker and Mary McDades family follow the pattern other than a Susan and latterly a Patrick (1901)....

James the Kennedy's must have either travelled same time as Philip and Cath.or else later that year/1915 (cant find them) although it has 1916 immigration year on 1930 Census..TERESA was b 1915 Illinois.
