David, any clues from the marriage certificate e.g. witnesses? What age is given for her on the marriage certificate?

in answer to the several questions i have a copy of her marriage certificate that shows her father was John Wood deceased. He had been a brewery engine driver and she was born in Stroud,Gloucestershire. The date of the marriage was 1908

Ellen Wood born 1885 would be 5 or 6 in 1891 not 2

Ellen Julia was born c 1887 so not her either.

I think the Ellen J Wood in 1891 was Ellen Jane not Ellen Julia
