My husbands great grandmother was listed as Caroline Willis on the 1901 and 1891 census. However she was not married to Philip Willis and is listed on his death certificate as Caroline Brown, Does any one know if this is her maiden name or a married name? |

1911 Caroline and Henry ?? Caroline (someone) has written 12 children born alive....9 dead...3 living...the numbers 2 3 9 have been crossed out to look like only 1 child born...could Caroline have had 11 in the name of Brown? |

I have Henry's birth cert and it gives the mother as Caroline Willis, which is not true. She obviously took the name but was not married to Philip. There is no record of a marriage or a divorce for Philip, which is why it is so hard to find out Caroline's line. |
