Hello Everyone,
Can anyone please do a look up for me on the Find My Past census 1841. I am looking for Jarvis Robinson aged 3. Birthplace Yorkshire. District Sculcoates. Sub District Drypool. District Drypool. Hull. His father was William his mother Jane.
He is listed on Family Search as being on the Find My Past 1841 Census. Unfortunately I have The Genealogist and its not showing him. I can find him on the 1851 census with his family but not the 1841.
Thank you for looking.
Linda :-)

Hello Everyone,
What a quick response. Thank you so much for this information. Jarvis Robinson was wrongly entered on the 1851 census as Tarfus which I altered on Ancestry when I was a subscriber. Jarvis was born in Hook, nr Goole. He joined the 5th Dragoon Guards sometime between 1856 and 1858. I find him on the 1861 census in Brighton. I know he married in Ireland in 1865 to Mary Loughead and the had a son Jervis Frederick born in Ireland in 1867. The returned to England and had a daughter (my grandmother) in Aldershot in 1868. They are in Leeds in 1871. Sadly Jarvis Jnr died aged two.
I know Jarvis left the army in 1872 in York at his own request but then they all disappear. My grandmother Jane Ann Elizabeth Robinson born 1868 turns up in Hull in 1887 to marry my grandfather James Robert Gardiner. She says her father is a deceased soldier. I cannot find a death for Jarvis anywhere in the UK after 1872. I am now trying Ireland to see if they went back there for a time.
Thanks once again for the prompt replies.
Linda :-)
