Find Ancestors

Hi there, I am looking for clarification on a problem I have come across in my research:

My ancestor Mary Banner was born on 29th March 1789 in Runcorn, Cheshire to her parents William Banner and Eleanor Yewd. William and Eleanor seemed to have married in Weaverham, Cheshre in 1771, the same parish were Eleanor was baptised in May 1750.

Now, looking for a baptism of William on family search, a POSSIBLE one is the baptism of a William Banner in Frodsham, Cheshire on 25 July 1733, making William about 38 when he married and then about 57 when his youngest child Mary was born.

Now although not impossible, this, at the time, seems unlikely to me, so is there a way to confirm a link between the baptism in 1733 and marriage in 1771?!

I had emailed the parish council in Frodsham as they had information on William's father Peter, which read:

M.I.in Frodsham Church reads. Near this place lies
the body of Peter Banner,carpenter of Frodsham who died of dropsy Oct 21
1749 aged 50 and in 33 months he was tapped for 58 times and had 1,032
quarts of water taken from him.

This lines then goes back to the 1570s, so I am eager to confirm.

The confirm Peter's children, the same as what I had found, and stated that although they didn't know who William married, he was apprentised to a family in London as a plumber! They did not have a reference for this, but again, does this help the story and confirm a connection?!

I am curious and eager to find out more. Can you help?!

It was to last 7 years and he was not to get married in this time.
He was from Fransham? in the county of Chester.


Did he have a brother, Henry, apprenticed to a joiner? He came from Frodshamin?

May I ask: the father of the boys apprenticed above was:

Apparently he was a carpenter - so I ask for a look up to see if he was apprenticed?

Also, his father, a Thomas Banner (born 1662) was a doctor - so does he appear on a record? Please only look if it easy to do so. I won't actually help this resolve the issue of the marriage in 1771. I am merely curious.
