On the 1911 Census, Elizabeth shows 9 children, 4 of whom had died. They married in Leicester in 1892.
Question: Is there a way to find whom the other children were without paying $38 each for all the possibles (12)?

Where are you getting your certificates from?

You have to register but its free to do that.

The Government's own official website for birth, marriage and death certificates for England and Wales. Certificates from £9.25 inc. postage.

The first child in the 1901 census is shown as born in 1898

Based on the name in the 1911 census I would say that this is her -

Births Jun 1897 (>99%)
Granger Elsie Gertrude Leicester 7a 226

I would look at the ones born before Elsie.

It was usual (not 100%) to name first sons and daughters after the names of parents so perhaps have a look at that option...?

Then look to see if there are any deaths in gaps between ages for later children.

If you want to know definitely which ones are their children, there are too many births and deaths to work out which are 'yours' and which belong to other Granger families.

(But think of the savings made for all your future purchases by using the correct GRO website)

Thank y'all for replying, I buy from GRO, apparently there is a different price for US patrons.
I have the five who survived, just curious to find the other four. I have bought certs that appeared to be right and were not.
Over here I search births with one or both parents names and names pop up with possibles.
