Find Ancestors

If anyone can help I would be very grateful, Im new to this but have managed to go back to 1816 and now I have drawn a blank. Im looking for info on:
Thomas Corby born 1816 in St Luke, Middlesex, he married Esther Ann Holland born 1817, they married in 1843 i W London, had sons, George James born 2/7/1843 in Middlesex and James born in 1849.

I cant seem to find any info on Thomas, I have tried to search parish records but didnt get very far, im hoping to get thomas's parents / sibling details

If anyone can help i would be really grateful, Im doing this for my dad and was hoping to get a it further back for him. I was quite enjoying this, now its so frustrating !! Thanks Kim

Have you got their marriage certificate to see who his father is ?

If you've taken the information about his marriage from the IGI then there might be a mistake on the year - it was 1842 and not 1843. This is the marriage on the GRO Index:-

I found out about Thomas's birth on the 1841 Census when I was looking for his son James.

I believe he he lived with Mary Corby (cousin I think) and then married Esther, Mary lived with them both. He was a baker and then I believe became a plaster.

I am trying to trace the male line of my family, and now that I have details of Thomas, the next step is to find details of John his father, I cant believe I have gone back this far, I never intended this at the start but I have become quite addicted !

Drawn a blank with John Corby now as I dont seem to have any other info other than he had a son called Thomas who married Esther.

I am presuming that John lived in the same area of St Lukes middlesex ?

Where is the best place for me to look, Ive tried searching all records on here and free bdm but no luck
