old news paper help please

Hi....i dont know where to satart with this one or if i am asking for the right question....Does an-one have access to old news-papers..i am looking for a possible obituary,for mary vickers,she died in Durham west,september Q 1945 aged 79yrs

You could try the main library local to where she would have died ?? - they will keep local newspapers.

There's nothing coming up in the on-line archives so it looks like it's a trip to the library for you .........

Would this lookup need to be made in the local library..which is obviously Durham..i live in salford,....Thank's Dea x & Marieceleste x

I live in Leicestershire now but Salford Library looked something up for me and sent me a copy for a few pence.
