Find Ancestors

Hi,
I have been looking for info for Emma M Tucker, born 1916 Cardiff, her father was George Tucker, mother Margaret Tucker ( nee Rees)
George and Margaret married in Dec 1914, Margaret died in March 1919.
I have found a brother for Emma, Albert G Tucker.
I have looked, but apart from a birth, i have found no marriage or death entry.
Can anyone help.

Hi Sally, just a thought but if her mum died when she was only 3 then she might have been brought up by friends or relatives if her dad couldn't cope. She may then have been known by their name.

If you knew what the "M" stood for and her exact date of birth it might be possible to work back from a death record.

Hi, i am not at my house with all info at the moment, but he did remarry in 1922 i think to Winifred BAVERSTOCK, she was my Dad's Aunt.
Maybe i will order Emma's birth cert.
I would guess M for Margaret ???

As per George's Army records on Ancestry - the name looks like Emma Mary and she was born 16th October, 1916.

Margaret died on 27th February 1919 of Influenza and pneumonia.

Albert George was born 7/11/18

Actually, having looked again - I think it 'could' be Emma Margaret ??

Dea, I can't for the life of me make out if it's Margaret or Mary!

But at least we now know she was born 16 October 1916.

Yes Sally - I considered ' Marjorie' too but it really is not clear enough to be sure !

Re the death record - a copy of the death cert was included in the Army records.

Her brother in law C H Jenkins of 55 Wyverne Rd. Cardiff was the informant on the cert.
