Hi Sally, just a thought but if her mum died when she was only 3 then she might have been brought up by friends or relatives if her dad couldn't cope. She may then have been known by their name. |

Hi, i am not at my house with all info at the moment, but he did remarry in 1922 i think to Winifred BAVERSTOCK, she was my Dad's Aunt. |

As per George's Army records on Ancestry - the name looks like Emma Mary and she was born 16th October, 1916. |
