Does anyone know if you can obtain records of the Alexandra ship`s crew from the time span given in Australia.(1871 / 1890)
Any help or advice would be most welcomed.
Thankyou in advance.
Glenn

P.s There is a strong possibility that George may have been a Chief Steward.

Hello Glenn, when and where was George born?

If you know I'll see if there's anything on arrivals in Oz.

Glenn, there are numerous records and we could be on all day posting them!

What is it exactly you're trying to find out?

Hi Marie,
It was a long shot really, but it still may be interesting to me if i could pinpoint where he was from and if it`s also possible to detect if his wife who may be Mary Ann Durrell joined him later. He could be my gt gt grandfarther subject to where he game from.
Thankyou for your warm and kindly assistance.

Hello Glenn, does that birth year of 1846 on the above records fit in with what you know?

Do you know his parent's names?

Do you know his wife's maiden name?

Which of his children is your direct ancestor? Do you know of any siblings?

What was the last census in the UK that you found them on?

All of this will give us a better chance of finding "your" George.

You say his wife "may be" Mary Ann - how far have you traced the family back with guaranteed accuracy?
