Still trying to find death of William John Rice.would be after 1901 and possibly before 1911.he is no longer married to Harriet and I have no idea of what area he would be living.

Why don't you try to look for the info yourself on freebmd................easy site to use.

And please do not post more than ONE request per topic..........

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 5 Mar 2013 14:48

There is NO marriage on freebmd to tally with the 1911 census info for Charles Bayliss and his 'wife'

It is important to check and not just make assumptions

So the odds are that she wasn't actually widowed

You exhort us to 'keep looking', Jeanette.....I hope that you are also looking

The thread highlighted by MarieCeleste on page one has been deleted.

I wonder how much info has been discarded...................

Jeanette

Please stop abusing the system......................

The thread that MC highlighted was not the only one...just before MC posted that thread I commented that the original thread had disappeared and there were two pages on there as well.

Would just like to set the record straight.Yes of course I search freebmd and have been doing so for the past twelve months, this is the reason for signing up to Genes Reunited as I was told of the help I would receive, which I have and many thanks to those members. As there is no trace of William J after 1901 I have to assume that he died between 1901 and 1911 he can't just disappear .No I do not abuse the system, certainly not with intent, just a bit green around the gills when it comes to using technology and for this I apologise .Jeanette

Jeanette, nobody is having a go at you. But when you delete your original post the whole thread gets deleted. So you lose all the info on them (unless you copy and paste them into a document first) and anything that has been found disappears. So when you start a new thread there is obviously some "going over the same ground". And it gets a little frustrating. There are some members who do this deliberately :-(

So when you want to update something or ask for a connected search go to your original post and update the question asked. If you change the title and submit that's often a good idea too!
