Jeanette, nobody is having a go at you. But when you delete your original post the whole thread gets deleted. So you lose all the info on them (unless you copy and paste them into a document first) and anything that has been found disappears. So when you start a new thread there is obviously some "going over the same ground". And it gets a little frustrating. There are some members who do this deliberately :-(

So when you want to update something or ask for a connected search go to your original post and update the question asked. If you change the title and submit that's often a good idea too!

Would just like to set the record straight.Yes of course I search freebmd and have been doing so for the past twelve months, this is the reason for signing up to Genes Reunited as I was told of the help I would receive, which I have and many thanks to those members. As there is no trace of William J after 1901 I have to assume that he died between 1901 and 1911 he can't just disappear .No I do not abuse the system, certainly not with intent, just a bit green around the gills when it comes to using technology and for this I apologise .Jeanette

HeyJudeB4Beatles Report 5 Mar 2013 18:54

The thread that MC highlighted was not the only one...just before MC posted that thread I commented that the original thread had disappeared and there were two pages on there as well.

Reggie Report 5 Mar 2013 15:16

The thread highlighted by MarieCeleste on page one has been deleted.

I wonder how much info has been discarded...................

Please stop abusing the system......................

Reggie Report 5 Mar 2013 15:14

Reggie Report 5 Mar 2013 14:48

There is NO marriage on freebmd to tally with the 1911 census info for Charles Bayliss and his 'wife'

It is important to check and not just make assumptions

So the odds are that she wasn't actually widowed

You exhort us to 'keep looking', Jeanette.....I hope that you are also looking

Reggie Report 5 Mar 2013 14:08

Why don't you try to look for the info yourself on freebmd................easy site to use.

And please do not post more than ONE request per topic..........

Still trying to find death of William John Rice.would be after 1901 and possibly before 1911.he is no longer married to Harriet and I have no idea of what area he would be living.

Jeanette Report 2 Feb 2013 18:16

Last address from 1901 census .

MarieCeleste Report 2 Feb 2013 17:57

EDIT: Sorry, see it was the 1901

Jeanette Report 2 Feb 2013 17:49

Jeanette Report 1 Feb 2013 22:49

A big fat ThankYou to all you clever people who took the time to search for me .It has been a great help ,some matched some didn't .The most positive result was finding out that Harriet re married ,It has to be the same.Only have to find Frank and William now as its obvious that Frank was not with his mother in1911.So am I looking for Frank alone as William died or are they both together .William John Rice born Coventry 1876 father Thomas mother Sarah Ann nee Manton.William last found 1901 living 53 Arkley Court .Keep looking and thank you .Jeanette.

HeyJudeB4Beatles Report 30 Jan 2013 15:01

The original thread has been deleted as far as I can tell. It popped up in my threads and then promptly I can only think that Jeanette deleted it and the two pages of info that had been found :-(

1901 William and Harriett Rice Arkley Road postcode E17

1911 Acacia Road Postcode E17.

You can see how close on map of Arkley Road E17.

Do you think they are the same Harriett guys??
Seems likely to me.
