No Joan you are not wrong regarding Templemore being in the Co Tipp. but there is also a Templemore in the Co Derry which is where you have listed Patricks Baptism....(above) ....

After all this I've just found it on Rootsireland.!!!!!

I have all the info for Elizabeth from 1861. the family must have come over sometimes after Patricks Birth 1848 Tipperary.
He's the son who married here in Stockport 1868. From that cert I know his father was a James Nelis.Dec confectioner.
I do not know where or when his father James Nelis was borm.
Elizabeth always gives c 1809 Tipperary as her birth place on census & yes thats her Death.
I have all I need to know in England.
& bapt of the children in Tipperary. All children of James Nelis & Elizabeth Holland.
Just need to find their marriage now :-)

They were bapt in Templemore Tipperary.
Came to England 1848-1861.
Don't know anymore about them before 1861 when Elizabeth was a widow, with sons James & Patrick (Eliza I found nearby), on the 1861 Stockport Cheshire England.
As MEALIS.
I don't know where or when her husband James Died. Haven't been able to find his death.
He was said to be a confectioner (DEC), on sons marriage cert & Labourer (DEC) on wifes deaths cert in Stockport 1876.
Don't know what happened to Francis.

The surname Nelis/McNelis..(variations) was found mainly in the Cos Donegal, Down and Tyrone but with some in other areas ...
