MarieCeleste, I wouldn't be surprised if it is him though - in 1911 Mary is still married and appears to be working to support the family. I can't see a sign of Frank can you?

Leesle, it's on the British Newspaper Archives. It may not be your man so don't include it for a birthday surprise.

Basically, this man was a drunkard who failed to pay the agreed 5s a week for the upkeep of his family. He was gaoled following prosecution by NSPCC, the children would have starved if not for their grandmother.

No other family members are named.

There is an article in the Manchester Evening News of June 1903 about Frank Wright, a baker of Belleck Street, Hulme.

It' s not very pleasant so will post if a connection to that address can be made. He may not have been living with his family. In 1903 he would have 2 children.

Hello Leesle, do you know where and when she died?

The death record might be useful to confirm her age.

Who were the witnesses, who did she marry?

Hi I've tried I really had but I'm at a loss, I have a marriage cert Ive found everything I need about the groom its the bride Im totally stuck on.

Its 1926 Manchester Amy Wright age 24 spinster think job baby linen ? 5 alderley street Hulme, father Frank Wright deceased.Baker.

Ive viewed an Amy Wright on the 1911 census with the right area and age but her father is David. I cant see another likely one, and she isnt born by the 1901 census. Any help gratefully received, thankyou
