To find out the names of the child's parents, you will need to obtain the birth cert. BUT.......the birth you saw was approx 6 months before their marriage |

Thanks kindly for all your wonderful help folks, i can confirm that the marriage was Dec 25th 1898 Southwark.. She was a Gregory on my ancestry line . I have also found a birth for John Laws b 1898 St Saviour which comes under Southwark could this be there son ? |

This is John in 1881 with sister Margaret who lives next door on the 1901 census (Read). On this census they are liiving at 13 Hunter Street which is I'm pretty sure what he recorded on the 1911 census and which was subsequently crossed out by enumerator. Not sure where the 'Eliza' comes into this. |

The bride missing from that 1895 marriage appears to be Annie Elizabeth Reid. Looks likeshe and John Henry Laws had three attempts at marrying, finally succeeding 22 Dec 1896. |
