Thomas and Emily according to the census were both born in Newthorpe Nottinghamshire and the children in Handsworth (Sheffield) Yorkshire. The other people were lodgers. 	In general a baptism is about a month after birth but there are quite a few John Henry Brown's born Yorkshire 1872 which is a b*m.

	You used be to able to ask for the one with parents Thomas and Emily but not sure if this still applies when buying birth certs. Have you got his marriage cert?
