Hello Katrina, welcome to the boards.

You need to give us a lot more info - how old was she when she married? What was her marital status at the time? Who was her father (if named) on the certificate? What was his occupation? What was the address for her? Who were the witnesses?

Are you looking to trace her ancestors, siblings or living relatives?

If you don't have the certificate then that should be your starting point by ordering one from GRO (costs £9.25).
http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/

From FreeBMD:
Surname First name(s) Spouse District Vol Page
Marriages Dec 1920
Gilbert Amy M Jackson Faversham 2a 2507
Jackson Herbert G Gilbert Faversham 2a 2507

(That record has everything you need to order the certificate. Tick the box that asks if GRO reference known.)

I agree with MC. The marriage certificate is essential to get ages and fathers names.

Katrina Report 10 Feb 2013 22:01

Hi,
Yes I do have the marriage Certificate for Herbert George Jackson age 26 maryying Amy Mary Gilbert age 20 in 1920 and his father's name on certificate is Frederick William Pashley and her father's name is Frederick William Gilbert (who was deceased when they married)
As I am new at this I might not be doing it right . It was witnessed by a Mary Gilbert, Clara Gilbert and a George Edward and I think surname is Andrews but it is not clearly signed.
I know that they where married in the parish church in the parish of Boughton under the blean in the county of Kent.
Just wondering if any of you that have replied are related to them.
Thanks for your help
Katrina

Is Herbert George's Father's Surname Pashley.........or is it Frederick William Pashley Jackson?

What does it give as his occupation on the marriage cert?

What was Herbert's occupation on the cert?
