Richard when you asked for help you should have put all that info in the first post to give searchers more idea of the whole family.

Always stay with a question you put up and keep going back to your thread to read the replies.

You will get answers with a few minuets as there are plenty of people willing to help.

I also cannot find them to see if they fought during the war as well.

My guess is that they stayed in Canada

Albert - (my grandad)
Ernest (both in 1901 census)

William did indeed live with his uncles in Kings Langley,

He may of been in Canada from 1911 onward along with Fred.

Arthur, Sarah, young Albert & Edward came back to be on the 1911 census...
Albert then went back out to Canada again, married and had a child (Albert Yates b 1912) Albert Jnr. Stayed with Albert Snr's Wife.
Albert Snr. (my grandad) came back to fight in WW1 ( he then divorced his first wife)

if you look at the 1911 census it staes that 2 children have died, these would be his sisters.

Blimey... thanks for all the responses...only just found this community board.

Williams parents were Arthur Yates & Sarah Yates (nee Hodges).

He only has 4 posts Maureen.

It has been interesting but think I will leave it now till the morning or when we hear from Richard.

The one on that 1912 passenger list was a returning Canadian.

Can't find Fred in 1901 or either of them in 1891?

What was Arthur's year and place of birth please? Do you know who he married and what his occupation was?

Whose father is Arthur Yates, both of them??
