Maybe Alexander in 1891/ (you will be able to confirm if this is correct from the occupation given for him on James's marriage certificate)

Used a credit for Scotlandspeople and this looks to be the Robertson / White marriage.


1921 ROBERTSON JAMES ALEXANDER WHITE FLORENCE BONHILL /DUNBARTON 493/00 0072

You need to buy credits and look at that marriage. It will give the age of James Alexander Robertson and his parents' names including his mother's maiden surname. It will also give an occupation for his father.

You then need to look (again on Scotlandspeople) for James and his family on the 1911 census.

Do you have an approximate year for any of the births or marriages please? Are any of these people still living?


Without any idea of a timescale looking for the surname Robertson would be needle and haystack material!

Have you looked on Scotlandspeople for example for the Robertson / White marriage?

wife
florance white 1st/3rd aug (no birth year )
florance had a sister jane white also a brother (david)????

james father was alexander robertson he married twice both wives were called hellen one surname was henderson
there children were
william
lucy
john
david
isabel
joe
nickle
im not sure of which children belonged to which wife ?????
i do know they had more children but dont know any more names.

alexander robertson did have an ilagitimat son called jimmy robertson.

the family were all from helensburgh scotland x

would be greatful of any help x
