Mary Saxton born 1781 is my direct ancestor, she marries a John Tomlinson in 1806 at Papplewick.

I have Vincent marrying a Maria Bembridge in 1806 at Hucknall Torkard, no children found as yet.

John's marriage I haven't found. Havepossibly managed to track him through the Census collection and it could be he marries out of County since his wife, Ann, says she's born in Leicestershire. The only child I have for them is Mary born 1826 Nottinghamshire.

John and Mary are also said to be born Scotland on the 1851 census, but 1841/61 gives Notts/Bulwell, Notts.
The family appear to be typically frame work knitters and allied jobs.

Did you notice the address for the 1851 census - Saxton's Lane!

EDIT - Papplewick and Bulwell aren't so very far apart from each other, with present day Hucknall in between. You might find this as Hucknall Torkard on census as opposed to Hucknall Huthwaite now Huthwaite.

This is the 1841 for PH's 1851 above. Vincent here is noted as born in County, but his wife was not. Could a mistake have been made on the 1851?
