Find Ancestors

I am trying to find a date of death for Charles Rattray who was born in 1842 in Kirriemuir.
He was the son of John Rattray & Elspeth Watson
Charles married Margaret Potts in Dundee in 1863.
Charles was living with his son in law and his daughter(William & Mary Ann Watt) in Dundee according to the 1911 Census
Charles wife Margaret died in 1902.
I cannot find a date for Charles death.
I have also contacted The Clan Rattray Website who have a Geneology Section but they were unable to assist me.
Charles Rattray was my Great Great Grandfather.
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you done a search using variation of the surname on SP

SP gives 3 matches on name and a death between 1911 and 1942 using year of birth as 1842

There is a Charles Rattray who died in Kirriemuir in 1916 but he was married to an Ann Morris.

What I have been trying to find out is the date of Charles Rattray's death.
Charles' daughter Mary Ann Watt died in 1921 in Dundee but I can find no trace for a death for Charles
