Find Ancestors

I am trying to find out about my fathers side of the family, as I know nothing about them. My father was Jack Walker, his Mother was Elenor Walker (nee Roundhill) and his Father was Leonard Walker but that is all the information I have. My father passed away in 2000 and have no other way of finding anymore information.

I know that my father has 2 maybe 3 brother and 1 sister, I know one of his brothers is called Dennis but do not know the names of his other siblings

Any information would be much appreciated. .

On my Dad's birth certificate it says Elenor

Maybe she was Elenor but preferred the name Nellie as her "nickname"?

those names definitely look familiar, if that correct they had more children than thought. They weren't a close family which is probably why I don't know much about my Dad's side. Thanks for this

The only thing that isn't correct is Jack Walker birth month, he was born in March 1928.

Does it give Leonard's occupation on Jack's birth certificate?

I've just spoken to my Mum she is going to have a look now.

He might have been born in March 1928.....(The first Quarter) but his birth was actually "registerd" in June 1928 (The second Quarter)

Mum's just looked at his birth certificate and was registered in April. His mothers name was actually Ellen Roundhill. Leonard's occupation was Engineer Fitter.

That would be correct then. You had up to 6 weeks at that time to regiister a birth.....so even though he was born in the first quarter (Jan Feb Mar) of 1928.......his birth was registered in the second quarter (Apr May Jun) of 1928.

Do you have any idea of when and where your Father's parent's died?

I have managed to get quite alot of information about my fathers Mother and Grandmother but I don't have any idea when they passed away as it was quite a few years before I was born and my Dad never spoke about them.
