Can't help with your q, but here's my notes

MC - my guess is his mid-name was Chalmers.
I've seen quite a number of folk add a relly's surname as a mid-name when they came to N America, and Chalmers is the obvious choice here - but it's just a guess.

Did Anna B die, or were they divorced?

On his marriage to Frances he says he was married once before and has no wife living. It doesn't give an option to say if he was widowed or divorced, whereas it does for the bride (Frances was a divorcee).

Thankyou good people. I don't know what John's middle name was, only first letter C. I know Frances was married to a Charles F Grubel for 9 years in the 1900 census, Charles was married to a Sadie... in 1910 census and his children from his marriage to Frances stayed with him.
Unable to find anything much at all on John's marriage to Anna or even John and Frances.

Hello Bloss, what did the "C" stand for as his middle name?

What were his parent's names? What was his exact date of birth?

This is all useful for tracing records.

Since BMDs are state matters, which states did they reside in, and which state were Anna & Frances born in, and when?

Ancestor John C McBroom (or Macbroom) born 1864 Glasgow, Scotland, immigrated in 1865 to USA. In 1883 John married Anna B......and on 1900 census married to Anna. In 1902 I have John married to Frances Grubel and is still married to Frances up to 1940 census. I have not been able to find any info on Anna, although she was born 1867 in USA, further a child was born to John and Anna in 1885 (male) no info on this either. The death dates of John and Frances also hard to find. Hoping you can help me,
Cheers Bloss :-(
