Can anyone who has access to the 1911, 1901and 1891 census's possibly help me out, I've worked my way back to 1922-ish and I am searching for (worst name to be searching) -
George Hall b 1883* in Hackney.
his wife ??

Thanks Reggie...I am going by Cecil George Hall's 1922 marriage certificate, which say's his father's name was George Hall - occupation a 'timekeeper' all I know is that Cecil George was born in Hackney.

I have my father in law's birth cert, (name also George born 1923), his parents marriage cert in Cecil George and Maud Underwood in 1922, which states Cecil George's father as just George Hall a timekeeper, so I was guessing he would be born around 1883 ish?

I think you need Cecil George's birth certificate to find his mother's name and the father's occupation when Cecil was born.

Are any of the witnesses on the marriage cert related

Yes, I think that will be my next step...I only recieved the marriage certificate an hour ago, which states Cecil George's age in 1922 as 20 yrs old and I know he was born in Hackney, I just wanted to make sure I had the right person before purchasing another certificate.....thankyou all, for all your help, you've given me something to concentrate on while I wait another week for the certificate to arrive!...xx :-)

What wasthe address on the marriage cert, please. He may have married from parents adress and it might be on the London ER.
