Hi there, looking for military records for Henry Robert Webster born August 1881 in Ashford Kent, married to Lucy Mary Evelyn Stickells, he died 20th January 1951

got him in census records but trying to find military as was told by family member that he was a seargeant major

anyone?

Stephanie, he would probably have been too old for WW2 and over 60% of WW1 records were destroyed during WW2

Not seeing anything for him in service records.

There are a couple of medal cards for people of that name but they are rank of private.

yes i saw those also but not sure if they are him or not, have found his brother's records but not his

Finding any WW1 records is a matter of luck....only about 30% survive.

If he did serve, he would have been unlikely to reach the rank of Sergeant Major if he wasn't a regular.

And he's a 'wool classer' in 1911
