My mum had a sister who sadly died when she was about 5. Her name was Jean Sadler and she died in 1939 in Cardiff. Jean died of diphtheria. My grandma also had it and was still in hospital at the time of Jean's death. My Grandad arranged the funeral and never told anyone where she was buried. Mum never found a death certificate for this sister in her parents belongings and Grandad went to the grave without saying a word. My Mum would love to know where her sister was buried. The family were living in the Roath Park area of Cardiff at the time.

Can anyone help please?

Her death cert should be on FreeBMD .

You can use the info from the cert to contact the parks and cemetery dept of the local council for burial info .

Now we need to go and visit Jean's grave.
