Any chance this has been recorded wrongly? No idea if she has a daughter Jane! |

Just putting 1891 - you say you can't find William or George either, is that right? |

Thank you Brummiejan and Mel for your replies and info. Sorry I was away so long but I was so cold just sitting here that I've been off and had a hot drink. It's surprising how cold you can get just sitting at a computer !! |

Oooo what a shame Mel - wouldn't that have been something !! Thank you all very much for trying. This is the second time over months I have searched for Jessie and her ancestors and | have decided now to call it a day. Some lines are just too too awkward so I will now throw in the towel. |

A couple of thoughts. I wonder if her father died when she was young or she was illegimate and either way her mother remarried and Jessie is lurking under a different surname in 1851 and 1861 but reverted to her birth surname when she married. |
