I am searching for my Great Aunt Georgina. Her maiden name is Warren. She was married in Fremantle to Charles Ehlert, however he died and she left to live in Williamstown Vic. There she married George Mylrea in 1904. I need to know if she had any other children, when she died and where she is buried. I know he remarried in 1921. So I presume she died before this date, however I can't find any record of her. Hopefully some one can help me.

Its really strange but she and her sister were prone to changing their names. She married Charles under Mary (her mothers name). There was a Carl and a Francis also, Pansy's brothers, all three were born in WA. Georgina may have been buried under the name Mary then. Carl may have called himself Charles.

When she married George William Mylrea she used the name Gina. Ismay Ehlert.
I dont know if she had any children to him.

Yes that is the marriage I found. The death and burial information is probably the right one. Where it says additional information avail, what is AIGS?

The Mary MYLREA who died in 1921, buried at Williamstown, was Mary Jane, nee RAMSAY, aged 50, so not the right person.

There is a death for a Georgina MILRAY in 'Chel', Victoria in 1958 aged 89, daughter of Joseph WARREN and Jane HYDE (reg 12475). That fits her year of birth of 1868. Surname could be mistranscribed? Or she changed the spelling (presumbably pronounced the same way)... I know mother's name does not match, but given other info I think this must be her (Informants often get details wrong!).

There is a divorce on NLA Trove in 1917 of Mylrea vs Mylrea but can't find first names.

Also found these deaths:

Pansy Ann REID d. 1965 aged 75, daughter of Chas EHLERT & Mary WARREN

Carlyle MILRAY d. 1967 aged 74, Gisborne, son of Louis EHLERT & Georgina WARREN

Carlyle MILRAY d. 1966 aged 77, Gisborne, son of Louis EHLERT & Georgina WARREN [can't both be right!]

Francis Joseph ELLIOTT d. 1979 aged 85, Footscray, son of Carl EHLERT and Georgina WARREN

What the?! Guessing Francis Anglicised his surnames from EHLERT to ELLIOTT (not uncommon around wartime)

WA Births:

EHLERT PANSY ANNA
[father] CHARLES LOUIS HERMANN
[mother] WARREN MAY
FREMANTLE
reg 42
year 1890

EHLERT CARL LUDWIG HERMAN [Carlyle?]
[father] LUDWIG
[mother] WARREN GEORGINA
FREMANTLE
reg 606
year 1892

EHLERT FRANCIS JOSEPH
[father] CARL
[mother] WARREN GEORGINA

George Wm McDonald also died as MILRAY (in 1936, son of Edward MYLREA & Isabella WALKER, reg 5489). He is buried at Williamstown Cemetery.

George's 2nd wife (1921) remarried as well, in 1942! (Jessie Maude MYLREA to Thos WILLIAMS); she died in 1964 in Kyneton, aged 53, daughter of David THULBORN & Mary Louis JOHNSTONE.

George & Jessie were living in Gisborne in 1930 when his mother Isabella died (from death notice). Which fits place of death for Carlyle.

So much information! Is it any wonder I was having trouble with all the name changes going on. Georgina and George must have been divorced. I should think
that would have been pretty scandalous in those days. Thank you so much Cherilyn, without you I wouldnt have found out so much about this part of the family.
