I am trying to find anything about the above. John was born in Stoke staffs in 1797, though some census seem to indicate1802, and married Elizabeth Dix in 1827. I believe that they had a daughter Emma in 1828. Can anyone fill in any detail from the census as I have only basic to go on.John died I believe in 1876.
many thanks.

How have you worked back to those names without finding them on census ?

But you have some details so what exactly are you looking for

I have used family search and knew that emmas father was John wilcox from the married certificate. She was born in Stoke.

I need to know brothers and sisters to confirm where they were living because emma went to stafford. I would also like to know occupations.

Hello Fiona - have you worked back to them via descendants or are they another part of a family and you're working forward?

If you can tell us who they are definitely connected to then that would help.

Could you also tell us what census you do have them on?

1841*The ages of people over 15 years old were usually rounded down to the nearest 5 years. For example, someone who was actually 24 years would have their age listed as 20, and someone who was actually 27 years old would have their age listed as 25.
could this be the family?
