ceri Report 28 Feb 2013 02:01

Have discovered that one of my relations was brutally murdered by a doctor, the old bailey website doesnt provide loads of information 'The details of this case were not of a nature for publication; the death was alleged to be caused by the negligence of the prisoner during his attendance as a medical man upon the deceased in her confinement.'
The oldbailey report can be viewed on the following website.

http://www.oldbaileyonline.org/browse.jsp?path=sessionsPapers%2F18620407.xml

case ref: t18620407-452

Does anyone know where i might find more information, newspapers articles or anything?

do you know where she lived???

If so, contact the Library or Local Records Office, and ask if they can find anyhting in their holdings of old newspapers for the time you are interested in .............. give them a period of about 4 weeks.

Give them name, dates, age, etc ........ maybe even the reference to the Old Bailey trial date etc
