Find Ancestors

Hi,
I'm asking for help.
I can't find this family on the 1851 census,not one single member!
Can some one please help?



I have them on 1841,1861,1871,1881,1891.

Charles Lock and his wife Mary give different places of birth on different Census.

Charles 1841 Not in County,1861 Lambeth,1871 Not Known,1881 and 1891 Westminster.

Mary 1841 Not in County,1861 Bermondsey,1871 Hertfordshire,
1881 Hertfordshire,1891 Dorsetshire.

The family live in King Street,Bermondsey throughout the census except for the 1891 where they are in what I think is a shared house,their children and their families are also there.
I have tried to look by address, but have had no luck as I'm not very good at searching by address. Maybe they are all off visiting someone.

I could do with some help please,if any one can spare the time.

I am trying to work out where Charles Lock came from perhaps he will give a clue on the missing Census?

My Grt Aunt wrote that the Lock family of mine originally came from Sussex and moved to London to join a cousin who was a Costa Monger in the Tower Bridge Road,East Lane area's.So My Charles should say Sussex if this is correct.

I do know that I have Lock Costa's in my family as my mum told me before she died that she remembered getting fruit from them as a kid at Tower Bridge.My Grt Aunt said the same thing.Unfortunatly she never did name any of them.

It's odd that I can't fine any of the children either in 1851

I shall paste in what I have found and hope that some kind soul will have a look .I really would apprecieate some input as I just can't think of another way to find them.

Charles and Mary are living at 50 Aldred Road,along with some of their children and their families,looks like a shared house.

Charles and Mary don't appear on the 1901 census as far as I can tell.


Marriage of Charles and Mary.
One of the witness is an Eliza Stevens.

An Eliza Stevens age 19 and living with her parents and sibs,is next door to Charles and Mary Lock in the 1841 Census of King Street.Could be a coincidence.

I don't as yet have the death certs for the couple,I need to track down the reg first, they are on my list for this year.

So in short,if any one can find them or the children in the 1851 I would be really very grateful indeed.
