Reggie I am sorry about this. The family gave us to understand that these men were casualties of war and none of the family knew of their wherabouts so I searched the casualties lists. I still think Charles Dennis Jackson may have not returned. He was quite old for service wasnt he? sonya |

Thank You. I have looked on the CWGC site and there are many Charles Jackson entries. I do not know his reg. number all I have is a reference under the newspaper cutting giving AOC which I presume to be Army Ordnance Corps. I could not find his signing up form either (I found this for some of the others) This is handy as it gives the RegNumber. There is one C Jackson Gunner 695554 killed in action 1917. How can I check this ? sonya |

The rank of Gunner is accorded to a soldier serving with the Royal Artillery....not a member of the Ordnance Corps |
