Hi folks.

I am asking for some help from you kind people please. I have put 'FMP' above as I believe it may be possible to do address search 1841? But any other input would be much appreciated also.

I am trying to find my ancestor Thomas Browning in 1841. He was born about 1812, birthplace unknown. He married Elizabeth Chesterman in 1843.

I am going to put marriage details plus the only census I have him on. (His wife is a widow by 1861). I have looked 1841 to no avail - with no birthplace it is obviously very difficult. Although the name is less common than you might think, there are still too many to pin him down..

On the marriage cert his occupation is excavator and address (same for wife though!) 35 Church St.

Thanks Gwyn.
Yes, I am sure those are the witnesses - didn't mention them as they offer no clues as to Thomas.
Joseph, thank you for looking. Does Church St. show up at all? If you would be kind enough to tell me someone living in the street I would be very grateful, as I can then locate it on Ancestry. Thank you.
Can I be cheeky and ask you to look 1851 also, just in case there are any further clues??

Thank you for looking anyway Joseph - maybe Thomas is just too elusive!
Mel, I shall investigate that family more when I am more alert(!), though I suspect that Church St. Shoreditch is more likely to be the one where Thomas lived.
Curses!
