I am trying to track down Merchant Seaman service records for the period 1939-1945 for Charles Alfred Bellamy born 1917 in Middlesbrough. I am interested in finding out what ships he served on. |

Thanks for the suggestion Gins, but checked and no records available on the National Archives web site, apart from the Find My Past record mentioned. |

Hi You could try the London Metropolitan Archives. They are indexing the Lloyds Captains Register and if he had his captains' certificate he would probably be in it. |
